ZAMACE recognises its role as that of a development organisation in the marketing and trade of agricultural commodities. The charges for the services offered by the Exchange are therefore competitive:

Trade Commission

A commission is levied to the broker on the value of each transaction on the Exchange at a rate of 0.15% on both sides (buy/sell).

Registered Transactions

Transactions that do not go through the Exchange platform can be registered through a broker at the discretion of the Exchange. The commission charge is 0.2%.

Comprehensive Grain Testing

ZAMACE has standards for maize, wheat, soya and sunflower. We are in the process of consultations and more commodities will be added to the standards list such as ground nuts and edible beans.

Testing services for commodities in our Lab costs from K56,000 to K112,000 per sample. A quality certificate is issued with the results.

Training Inspection and Certification

Staff can be trained on grain handling and warehouse operation atK280,000 per participant.

We also offer site inspections and certification of storage. The cost of inspections is Cost+10%.

Recognition as a warehouse operator attracts competitive charges which are available on request. This certification allows a storage operator to issue Warehouse Receipts through the Exchange.

Annual Subscription

Members of ZAMACE are required to pay an annual subscription fee which currently stands at K5,600,000.

Other Funding

ZAMACE has been supported from inception by USAID through the PROFIT project.
